Bordered Patch Butterfly Characteristics and Size

The Bordered Patch (Chlosyne lacinia) is a medium size butterfly with rounded wings. It is predominantly brown and black, with a curving band of shades of orange, and white spots on the wingtips.

Size: 1.8" - 2.3"
Larval food: sunflowers, cocklebur, ragweeds
