Clodius Parnassian Butterfly

The Clodius Parnassian (Parnassius clodius) is a medium-sized white butterfly that can be found in the Pacific coast states from near Los Angeles north into southern Canada. It can typically be seen in forest meadows and openings, roadsides, riparian canyons, subalpine edges and chutes, and above the treeline in alpine terrain.

Whitish with green edges on the wings. Upper surface of hindwing features two red spots.

Wing spread: 2" - 2 1/2"
