Fatal Metalmark Butterfly

The Fatal Metalmark (Calephelis nemesis) is a smallish butterfly. Its coloration ranges from browish to orange, with checkered white fringes.

It ranges from Southern California through the American Southwest to Central Texas, and into southern Mexico.
