The Mormon Fritillary (Speyeria mormonia) is a medium-size butterfly, orange-brown in color, with darker brown spots. It can often be found in mountain meadows and wet prairie valleys. It is most common in the mountains of western North America, from southern Alaska down to Arizona and New Mexico.
