Painted Schinia Moth

The Painted Schinia Moth (Schinia volupia) is a very small triangular-shaped moth, reddish in color, with a gold head. It is commonly found in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. This moth inhabits open fields and meadows.

It is sometimes called the Indian Blanket Moth, as its larval foodplant is the Indian Blanket.
