Red-bordered Satyr Butterfly
The Red-bordered Satyr (Gyrocheilus patrobas) is a medium-sized brown butterfly that can be found in Central Arizona south to Central America. Its habitat consists of streamsides in open coniferous forests in the mountainous areas.
Wings are dark brown; upper and lower sides are identical. Hindwing has a wide, dull red border.
Wing spread: 2" - 2 3/8"
